Three injured after paper-laden pick-up van falls into 30-feet gorge in Balasore

Jaleswar: Atleast three persons have sustained injuries after a pick-up van veered off the road after hitting RMC mobile check-post at Rajghat on NH-60 under Basta police limits of Balasore district.

The injured persons have been admitted to the Basta hospital and after their health condition deteriorated they were shifted to Balasore District Headquarters hospital (DHH) for medical aid.

As per reports, the paper-laden pick-up van enroute West-Bengal from Balasore lost control over its wheels, hit the check-post and fell into 30-feet gorge near the Rajghat in Balasore.

On being informed about the incident, the Basta police and patrolling van reached the spot and rescued the injured ones.

All the injured persons were employees of the RMC and their condition is stated to be critical.

Later the cops detained the driver of the pick-up van and started an investigation into the accident.
