Dhenkanal: In a shocking incident, a private college blatantly violated the containment zone norms in Kunjakanta of Odisha’s Dhenkanal district and conducted classes for the students at night.
The Dhenkanal Municipality had announced the Ward No-2 of Kunjakanta as containment zone after 56 students of private college tested positive for COVID-19. The containment restriction is in force till December 10.
However, authorities of another private college were taking classes for the students at night. On being informed, a team of Dhenkanal Town Police conducted a raid by 12 AM.
Some officials fled from the spot after noticing the cops while some staff of the institutes had a heated argument with the police team for some time.
Soon, higher officials from the police station rushed to the spot but the college staff shut the doors and did not open them even the police banged the doors repeatedly and waited for hours.
After failing to enter inside the college, the cops returned back.
