Satyajit Mohanty Appointed New Police Commissioner of Bhubaneswar & Cuttack

Bhubaneswar: In a major IPS level reshuffle in the state, the Additional Director General of Police (ADG) Satyajit Mohanty has been made the new Commissioner of Twin City. The 1988-batch IPS officer replaced YB Khurania who has been appointed as the Additional Director General of Police (Provisioning).

Similarly, 1994-batch IPS officer, IGP (Special Armed Police) Sanjeeb Panda has been posted as the Transport Commissioner.  Amitabh Thakur serving as the IG (Law and Order) has been given additional responsibility of IG (SAP).

Besides, five officers have also been transferred. They include 2007-batch IPS officer Pandit Rajesh Uttamrao, who  is currently serving as the SP (CB-CID). He has been posted as the SP of Bhadrak. 2011-batch IPS officer Battula Gangadhar has been appointed as the SP of  Kalahandi.

Madkar Sandeep Sampat, a 2012-batch IPS officer, currently working as the SP of Kalahandi district has been transferred and as the SP, CID-CB. Also, OPS officer Debi Prasad Dash who was serving as the Additional SP of Bonai has been made Sonepur SP in-charge; Sashi Bhusan Satpathy, who was the additional DCP of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police, has been posted as Nayagarh SP in-charge.
