Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday announced an ex gratia of Rs. 2 lakh to the next of kin of those killed and free treatment for those sustained injured in the bus accident in Sambalpur district last night.
The Chief Minister also conveyed his grief on loss of lives in the unfortunate bus accident.

At least 4 people were killed and over 30 sustained injuries when a moving bus, namely ‘Maa Vaishnodevi Bus’, fell from a 40-foot high Malati Jora bridge near Goudpalli under Sambalpur sadar police station at around 11 PM last night. The passenger bus was travelling from Sambalpur to Tiring.
The deceased have been identified as Ranjan Meher , Gopalchandra Mahant , Saroj Rout, and Dilip Sahu.
The injured passengers have been admitted in Sambalpur District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) and Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla.
