Road accident in Odisha: 1 killed, 10 critical after truck rams into Bolero in Bhadrak

Bhadrak: In a case of road accident that unfolded in Odisha’s Bhadrak district, one person lost their life while 10 others were reported critical. A truck rammed into a passenger carrying Bolero on NH-16, causing the accident, said reliable reports in this regard.

As per the information received, the injured ones were rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention. Six of them were later transferred to Cuttack, while four people were admitted at the Bhadrak medical. Reportedly, the injured people included two women and two children.

As per reports from reliable sources, the Bolero had taken the passengers to Puri from Balasore. While it was returning, a truck coming from the opposite direction rammed into the vehicle near Aradi chowk in Bhadrak, causing the road accident. After the collision, the truck managed to flee from the scene.

Local people rushed to the spot and rescued the passengers trapped inside the Bolero and took them to the hospital. One person was declared dead upon their arrival at the hospital while 10 others were reported critical.

The identity of the deceased in the road accident is yet to be ascertained.

Earlier on February 4, another road accident involving a truck-bolero collision had taken place in Boudh of Odisha. A total of eight people were left critically injured in the accident in Boudh. The accident had taken place near Bahira chowk, under the limits of Baunsuni police station, reports confirmed.
