Retired Navy officer’s house looted in Bhubaneswar, 200 Gram gold jewellery stolen

Miscreants allegedly broke into the house of a retired Navy officer and looted more than 200 grams of gold jewelry worth over Rs 20 lakh.

Bhubaneswar: Miscreants allegedly broke into the house of a retired Navy officer and looted more than 200 grams of gold jewellery worth over Rs 20 lakh from the locker. The robbery incident took place in Naharkanta Basundhara Colony under Pahal police station in Bhubaneswar.

According to reports, the looters locked the family members of the navy officer in a room and looted gold jewellery worth Rs 20 lakh after breaking open the almirah locker.

The Pahala police have been informed and are currently investigating the case with the help of CCTV footage from nearby places. The police are also trying to catch the miscreants.

The residents of the area are now guarding their homes in fear of being the next victim as a similar series robbery took place in Millennium City under Pahal police station just a week ago on January 16, 2024.
