Rainfall to intensify in state from July 25, Yellow warning issued to 10 districts

A yellow warning has been issued to 10 districts in view of experiencing heavy to very heavy rainfall within the next 24 hours.

Bhubaneswar: A cyclonic storm is likely to form over the Northwestern Bay of Bengal today. Forecasts suggest that the cyclonic storm is to cause significant impact on the weather of the state. Rainfall may intensify over the next four days, with Odisha experiencing heavy rainfall due to the formation of a low pressure.

A yellow warning has been issued to 10 districts for heavy rainfall within the next 24 hours. Rainfall is expected to range from 7cm to 11cm in some areas.

Rainfall is likely to intensify from July 25 due to the effects of the low pressure. This is to result in heavy rainfall for three consecutive days, till July 27. While some areas are likely to receive heavy rainfall, some areas might experience heavy to very heavy rainfall during this period.
