Puri: The preparations for the world famous car festival, Rath Yatra 2022 has begun in Puri of Odisha today. As per reports, a five member delegation will soon visit Nayararh in this connection.
The preparation for the world famous Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra in 2022 began today in Puri. A five member special team of Srimandira will visit Nayagarh in this respect. They will visit along with garland (mala), mahardha, coconut (Sriphala) and other elements of worship.
Reportedly, special worship will be done near Badaraula Thakurani at Badamula in this respect.
It is to be noted that for this upcoming Rath Yatra, a total of 785 pieces of wood logs are required for construction of the chariots. As many as 80 numbers of wood logs have been hoarded from the last year’s wood collection. Out of the total wood logs 422 will be sent to the saw mill and 283 woods will be sent to the Ratha Khala.
