Karanjia: A 60-year-old died and her daughter was injured after a wall of a house collapsed following incessant rain in Mahilasuli village under Srukuli block in Mayurbhanj district in the wee hours of the morning today.
As per reports, both the mother and daughter were sleeping in a thatched house when a portion of the wall of the room collapsed due to heavy rain at around 4 am in the morning. Both of them were trapped under the debris.
Hearing the crash and the scream the villagers rushed to the spot and rescued both of them. They immediately rushed the daughter to the Karanjia Govt hospital, while the mother died on the spot.
Ms Kalinga
