Odisha’s temperature continues to rise; Mercury touches 36 degrees

Bhubaneswar: The weather of Odisha is getting hotter day by day, the temperature has touched the mark of 36 degrees. As per the reports of regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperature is set to touch 40 degree Celsius by the end of February.

Meanwhile, many parts of the states recorded temperature near to 36 degrees today. Titlagarh and Bhawanipatna recorded a temperature of 36.5 degree Celsius, while Balangir recorded 35.9 degrees Celsius. At the same time, Jharsuguda’s temperature touched 35.4 degrees, while Boudh recorded a change in temperature with a rise up to 35.5 degree Celsius.

The twin city of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar also experienced a surge in temperature. Bhubaneswar recorded a maximum 33 degree Celsius, while the night temperature was 23 degree Celsius. Meanwhile, Cuttack recorded day temperature of 32 degrees, while the night temperature was 22 degree Celsius.

At the same time, several parts of Odisha experienced foggy morning today. At least districts of the state has given a yellow warning in view of heavy fog today. These districts include Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Puri, Khordha, Dhenkanal, Angul, Nayagarh, Boudh, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, and Koraput.

The regional meteorological department has issued an alert to pay attention while driving on National Highways as there is a possibility of disruption in transportation. Under the influence of an active high pressure system along the Bay of Bengal, a warning has been issued due to the possibility of dense fog in several areas including coastal Odisha.
