Odisha: SRC releases situation report on heavy rain, check details

The office of the Odisha Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) today released the situation report on heavy rain that lashed the State for the last several days.

Bhubaneswar: The office of the Odisha Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) today released the situation report on heavy rain that lashed the State for the last several days.

As per the reports of the SRC, a total of 410209 people of 21 districts have been affected by the rain in the State. As many as 106 teams of ODRAF Team, Team NDRF Team and Additional Fire & Emergency Services Team in 16 rain affected districts of State.

The average rainfall of the state recorded on August 4, 2023 at 8.30 A.M for the last 24 hours is 3.1 mm. State average rainfall recorded from 01.08.2023 to 04.08.2023: 150.6 mm against August monthly average of 356.0 mm.

According to the report, a 100 m length of the river Mahanadi embankment near KV, Boudh washed away due to heavy rain. Likewise, a 10 m breach occurred at Bandhadiha village in right embankment of Brahmani river under Rasulpur Block of Jajpur district.
