Odisha reports 225 Covid-19 cases, Tally rises to 10,54,606

Bhubaneswar: A total of 225 Covid-19 positive cases including 37 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours.

This has taken the tally of Covid to 10,54,606 informed the Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Thursday.

Among the 225 positives, 132 are quarantine cases and 93 are local contacts.

However, 165 patients recovered in the State taking the total number of recovered persons to 10,44,443. There are a total of 1652 active cases.

It is to be noted that the State currently has nine cases of Omicron variant as per the reports of Director of Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar. Among the nine Covid patients the first person has recovered and has been discharged.

On the other hand, Odisha reports one death due to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 8459.
