Odisha Municipal Election: EVM machines sent to 15 districts
Bhubaneswar: The Municipal Elections in Odisha will be taking place post the Panchayat Elections in the State for which the Election Commission has taken another step forward.
Reportedly, Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) have been sent to 15 districts of Odisha in the first phase. Earlier on Wednesday, EVMs were sent to five districts, while today they were sent to 10 districts.
The Municipal Elections will be held in 105 municipalities across the state. The elections will be held in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, and Berhampur Municipal Corporations.
It is to be noted that the collectors of all the districts had issued a notification on ward-wise restructuring and reservation. The citizens filed their objections regarding the notification by November 14 following which, the collectors looked upon the complaints and declared a final list of ward-wise restructuring and reservation.
