Odisha: Maniabandha handloom now available at Cuttack Railway station

In a significant development, the Maniabandha handloom will now be available at the Cuttack Railway station under the OSOP initiative.

Cuttack: In a significant development, Maniabandha handloom will now be available at the Cuttack Railway station. During his Cuttack visit on January 7, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had assured the Maniabandha weavers under the Ministry’s “One Station One Product initiative.”

Five days after which, the sale of Maniabandha handloom product has begun at the Cuttack Railway station.

On Sunday, Vaishaw visited the Cuttack railway station in person. Therein, he inspected the dedicated “Maniabandha Handloom Cluster,” comprising of products from over 5,000 weavers. The products include sarees, towels, dress materials, scarves, handkerchiefs, and other fabrics.

Currently, the OSOP stalls are operational at 12 railway stations along the Khordha Division. These include Bhubaneswar, Puri, Khordha road, Balugaon, Chatrapur, Brahmapur, Palasa, Cuttack, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Angul, and Dhenkanal railway stations.
