Odisha: I-T department raids coal businessman Ghanshyam Dalmia’s properties for fourth day

The I-T department has conducted raids on multiple properties of coal businessman Ghanshyam Dalmia for allegedly evasion of Tax in Odisha and outside of the state.

Sundergarh: The Income Tax department has conducted raids on multiple properties of coal businessman Ghanshyam Dalmia for allegedly evasion of Tax in Odisha and outside of the state. The raid is underway in Dalmia’s house and properties in 30 places. The raid is being conducted by over 100 staff members for the fourth consecutive day.

Sources revealed that a total of Rs 5 crore has been seized from the businessman’s house and properties. Out of which Rs 2.5 crore cash and gold ornaments weighing over 2kg have been seized from his house and interlinked properties. The I-T department also seized Rs 2.5 crore from his associate Nanadakishore’s flat.

According to reports, the I-T department is conducting raids at 7 places in Rourkela, 2 places in Sundargarh, 1 place in Rajgangpur, and in different places in Chhattisgarh, Kolkata, and Maharashtra.
