A group of miscreants reportedly looted over Rs 14 lakh cash from a SBI ATM by using gas cutter machine in Nuapada district late last night.
Nuapada: A group of miscreants reportedly looted over Rs 14 lakh cash from a SBI ATM by using gas cutter machine in Nuapada district late last night. The incident took place near Mission Hospital at Khariar.
The matter came to light only after the bank officials were informed about the incident by some locals who went to withdraw cash from the ATM.
Soon, Devi Prasad Mishra, the Chief Bank Manager of the Khariar branch, lodged a complaint at the Khariar police station over the robbery.
Speaking about the loot, Khariar SDPO Arup Abhishek Behera informed that a case has been registered over the incident and probe is underway. CCTV cameras installed at the spot or nearby, if any, will be verified to get some clue of the robbers, he added.
