New CP takes charge says focus will be on general elections, law and order

Senior IPS officer Sanjeeb Panda took charge as the Police Commissioner of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack today. He belongs to the IPS batch of 1994.

Bhubaneswar: Senior IPS officer Sanjeeb Panda took charge as the Police Commissioner of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack today. He belongs to the IPS batch of 1994.

According to reliable reports, Sanjeeb Panda has worked diligently in various other departments of Odisha police. He has served at the SP of Puri and Rourkela, among other places. Furthermore, he has also held positions such as DIG in South-Western range, Personal IG, and IG OSAP.

He has also taken on responsibilities as ADG of Crime Branch, Transport Commissioner, and Director of Guinda during his career.

During his tenure at the Crime Branch, Panda played a crucial role in successfully solving the honeytrap case in DRDO, Balasore. As the Guinda director, he also implemented independent strategies during Maoist insurgency.

As the Police Commissioner of Cuttack-Bhubaneswar, Sanjeeb Panda has several challenges lined up for him. One of the biggest challenges for him will be during the upcoming general elections.
