Bhubaneswar: Four unidentified miscreants allegedly attacked a journalist with a sword near a dumping yard in Gadakana under Mancheswar police limits in Bhubaneswar.
The injured journalist, identified as Jyoti Ranjan Mohapatra has sustained injuries on his head and hand and was admitted to Capital hospital for medical aid.
As per reports, Jyoti was on his way home in his bike, when four miscreants started following him on their motorcycles. They came and attacked him with a sword and when he fell down, they attacked him and fled from the spot.
Jyoti said, that he had never seen those persons who attacked him and has no idea the reason behind the attack.
He was rescued and rushed to the hospital.
Jyoti then lodged a complaint regarding the incident at the Mancheswar police station. The police have started an investigation into the matter.
The police suspected that loot might be the reason behind the attack and soon they will nab the accused.
