MeT predicts rainfall in Odisha from February 10

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is likely to receive rainfall from February 10. Until then, weather in the state is likely to remain dry. The nighttime temperature in state might decrease by two to three degree Celsius in the next to days.

Between February 10 to February 12, parts of Northern and Western Odisha might experience light to moderate rainfall. This has been predicted by the Regional Meteorological department.

On February 10, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, and Mayurbhanj districts of the state are likely to experience rainfall. Intensity of rainfall in Odisha might increase from February 11 onwards. Areas under coastal Odisha are likely to experience rainfall on February 12 or February 13.

On the other hand, daytime and nighttime temperature are increasing in Odisha with every passing day. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature in Odisha was recorded over 30 degree Celsius. The highest temperature was recorded in Parlakhemundi in Gajapati district at 35.2 degree Celsius.

While the atmosphere remains dry during the day, air blows from sea to land during the night. As a result of which, the nighttime temperature continues to remain high.
