Mercury drops below 10 degrees in 11 places in Odisha, Phulbani records lowest

Bhubaneswar: Winter chill grips the state with more than 11 places recording a dip in temperature below 10 degrees on Sunday.

Phulbani records the lowest minimum temperature of 8 degree on Sunday. Similarly, Twin city Cuttack and Bhubaneswar recorded minimum temperature of 13.4 and 13.5 degrees Celsius.

Apart from Phulbani, the temperature dropped to 8.2 deg in Kirei, followed by 8.6 deg in G. Udayagiri, 8. 8 degrees in Rourkela, 9 deg in Grace, 9.4 deg in Queen’s valley, 9.5 in Daringbadi and Sundergarh, 9.6 in Keonjhar and Koraput and 9.8 deg in Jharsuguda.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted dry and cold weather condition is likely to prevail in Odisha for the next four to five days.
