Meeting to face Maoist challenge in Odisha, 11 new camps to be formed

Bhubaneswar: A meeting has been held in Bhubaneswar to face the Maoist challenge in Odisha, said reliable reports on Wednesday.

According to reliable reports, the meeting will be chaired by DGP Sunil Bansal, Sanjiv Panda, ADG Operation Devadatta Singh, SIW DIG Umashankar was present in the meeting. SPs of Keonjhar and Boudh districts will also join the meeting along with police officers of 10 other Maoist-infested districts.

The meeting was attended by CRPF IG, DIG, BSF IG and DIG. 11 new camps will be established to face the Maoist challenge in Odisha. KKBN division will be in focus. 90 percent of Maoists in the state are from Chhattisgarh.

There are only 16 Maoists in Odisha. Odisha Zonal Committee is headed by Murali and Modam Bala Krishna. Chhattisgarh Maoists remain in KKBN. Special sophisticated drones will be involved to deal with them. Night vision binoculars will monitor the movement of Maoists.
