Maoists kill man on suspicion of being police informer in Kandhamal

Kandhamal: After a lull, Maoists reportedly killed a man suspecting him to be a police informer in Odisha’s Kandhamal district last night.

According to reports, a group of armed Maoists killed one Kapil Majhi in Belghar Police station limits under Tumudibandha block of Kandhamal district.

Majhi was on the target of the red rebel for a long time as he was suspected to have been providing information about the Maoists to the police.

It is to be noted here that the Maoists had killed two persons in the same area on January 29, 2021 suspecting them to be police informers. One of the deceased persons was Bhabani Sankar, the son of the Sarpanch of Bhandarangi Grama Panchayat. The other deceased person was Hemant Patra of Guchhaguda village.
