Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday forecast a formation of low-pressure area over Andaman Sea on November 26. The system is likely to move westward and north-westward and develop into a depression over south-east Bay of Bengal around November 27.

“ Scattered to broken low and medium clouds with embedded intense to very intense convection lay over southwest Bay of Bengal off north Tamil Nadu & east Sri Lanka coasts. Scattered low and medium clouds with embedded moderate to intense convection lay over westcentral Bay of Bengal & Andaman sea and isolated weak to moderate convection lay over rest of Bay of Bengal,” said the IMD.
