Keonjhar: Incessant rains has triggered landslide in Judia ghat hills of Keonjhar district of Odisha on Wednesday morning and NH 49 has been blocked.

Huge boulders have fallen on roads after heavy rains occured in Keonjhar, following which road communication has been disrupted.

Residents of Jamuhata, Sponge colony, Dhangarapada are stranded due to the excess water because of heavy rains. The flood water have entered the blood bank in the Keonjhar District Head Quarters Hospital (DHH) and patients are suffering due to water. On receiving information, the fire personnels reached the spot and have started evacuating the water from the hospital.

In view of heavy rainfall, all the Schools and Anganwadi centers of Keonjhar district have remained close today.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted heavy rainfall in several parts of Odisha for the next two days and also issued an advisory to fishermen not to venture into the sea.
