Japan Para-Badminton International 2023: Pramod Bhagat beats India’s Manoj Sarkar, wins gold

Odisha’s Pramod Bhagat has won yet another gold medal. He won the gold in the SL3 single category at the recently concluded Hulic Daihatsu Japan Para-Badminton International 2023.

Japan: Odisha’s Pramod Bhagat has won yet another gold medal. He won the gold in the SL3 single category at the recently concluded Hulic Daihatsu Japan Para-Badminton International 2023. He defeated India’s Manoj Sarkar in straight sets.

In the 38 minute long match, Pramod Bhagat won the first set quickly with a score line of 21-16. However, in the second set, Manoj came back strongly but Pramod managed to take the second set too with a score line of 21-19.

However, Pramod Bhagat lost in the mixed doubles (along with Manisha Ramdass) to the Chinese Pair of Yang Jianyuan and Yang Qiu Xia in a tough 3-setter, the final score read 21-14, 15-21 and 21-16 in favour of the Chinese squad.
