Jagatsinghpur: Newly-wed woman allegedly killed

Jagatsinghpur: In a sad and shocking incident, a newly-wed woman was allegedly killed at Patasara village of Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district.

Itishree Jena of Patenigan village had married to Nagen Behera of Patasara village. The couple had tied their nuptial knot six months ago.

Sources said that Nagen was working at a private hospital in Cuttack. However, Itishree’s body was found in the bathroom when Nagen was absent from the house.

The local police, which started an investigation into the matter after getting information, suspect that Itishree died following a family dispute.

Meanwhile, Itishree’s body has been sent to the hospital for postmortem. The exact reason behind her death will be known when the postmortem report is out, added the sources.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
