IND Vs SA T20I: South Africa opt to bowl first at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack

Cuttack: South Africa won the toss and decided to field first in their second T20I match against India at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack this evening.

While speaking after winning the toss, South Africa team captain Temba Bavuma, as quoted by cricbuzz.com, said, “We will have a bowl first. We don’t know how the wicket will play. It was easier to bat second in the last game. You can chase anything with smaller boundaries. You need to stay in the fight as batters. We have two forced changes; QDK has a hand injury and Stubbs misses out, Klaasen and Hendricks come in,”

“We would have bowled first as well. The track is really nice. We would want to have a big score on this. There weren’t many things we did wrong in the last game, just a bit of execution was off and we will do better today. We are playing the same team,” said Rishabh Pant, the Indian Captain.

The high-voltage match will begin at 7 PM. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly are among other dignitaries who have reached the stadium to witness the match.
