Rayagada: In a shocking incident, a man stabbed his wife and she has suffered critical injuries at Nadikhanda Sahi of Rayagada district.
The injured wife, identified as Basanti Behera and has been admitted to Rayagada District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for medical aid.
According to the complaint, there was some dispute between husband Pradeep and Basanti which led to argument and in a fit of rage he lost his mental balance and attacked his wife around her stomach and chest with knife and fled from the scene.
Hearing sounds, the neighbours immediately reached and rescued Basanti and took her to the hospita.
On being informed about the incident, the police reached the hospital and have started a probe into the matter.
