Bhubaneswar: The IMD Regional Centre here has issued thunderstorm, rainfall and lightning alert for at least 13 districts of Odisha till 10.45 am today.
As per the latest Nowcast of the MeT Department, moderate thunderstorm and lightning accompanied by light rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khurda including the capital Bhubaneswar, Ganjam, Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Nuapada, Bolangir, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Sonepur and Boudh between 7.45 AM and 10.45 AM today.
In view of the approaching extreme weather conditions, the Weatherman has cautioned people in these districts against venturing out of their homes and advised to take shelter in safe place during the alerted period to avoid eventuality.
