Weather Alert ! IMD forecasts heavy rainfall in Odisha from Oct 11

Bhubaneswar: A fresh low-pressure area is very likely to form over north Andaman sea adjoining the east-central Bay of Bengal around October 9, informs the Meteorological Centre.

Following which heavy rainfall is expected during October 11-13, informs Sudhakar Mallik, IMD Duty Officer.

It is very likely to move north-westwards towards north Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coast with gradual intensification into a depression during the subsequent two-three days.

Besides, it has issued yellow warning and predicted heavy rainfall in these thirteen districts, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Bargarh, Balangir, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Bhadrak districts today.
