Heavy rainfall in Odisha for 2 days, Yellow warning issued to 12 districts for today

Heavy rainfall in Odisha is likely to continue for two more days due to the impact of an active low pressure. 

Bhubaneswar: Odisha continues to experience heavy rainfall in several areas due to the effect of an active low pressure. The well marked low pressure over Jharkhand along the Ganges river has weakened into a low pressure. It continues to remain active over South Western Jharkhand and Northern Chhattisgarh.

As per reports from reliable sources, heavy rainfall in Odisha is likely to continue for two more days due to the impact of this active low pressure.

The regional meteorological department has issued alerts to several districts of Odisha in view of heavy rainfall. A total of 12 districts have been issued a yellow alert. These districts include Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Jajpur, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Bolangie, Sonepur, Sundargarh, and Jharsuguda.

Several areas across these districts are likely to experience moderate to heavy rainfall today. On the other hand, the process of monsoon retreat continues in India.
