Group clash in capital city of Odisha, more than 20 arrested

Bhubaneswar: More than 20 people have been arrested in a group clash in the capital city of Odisha that took place on September 1, 2023 (i.e. Friday) said reliable reports in this regard.

According to reliable reports on Thursday, the Mancheswar police under the Cuttack Bhubaneswar twin city Commissionerate police has arrested as many as 20 people for causing disruption of peace in public area.

It is worth mentioning that, a group clash had reportedly occured yet again in Bhubaneswar the capital city of Odisha on Friday. Reports say that, the clash took place due to wrongful parking of vehicles on the road. It is worth mentioning that roughly 15 days ago, there was a fight between two groups.

The group clash allegedly took place relating to passing of lewd remarks to a girl. Reportedly a complaint had been lodged in this regard. The fight today is said to be relating to the earlier incident. On Friday, the two groups clashed in the middle of the road paying no heed to onlookers or the police, said reliable reports.

It is further worth mentioning that the mob attacked the police van with stones as the police personnel had reached the spot to stop the fight.

Furthermore, as many as four people had been detained in this connection by the police on that day and were being questioned relating to the actual reason of the fight. The matter had been taken seriously byy the Commissionerate police and a probe had been in initiated into the matter, said reliable reports.
