Ganjam: Odisha Vigilance conducted a raid on properties associated with the Assistant Engineer, O/o Executive Engineer, Minor Irrigation Division, Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district on Wednesday morning on the allegation of accumulation of disproportionate assets.
The Asst Engineer has been identified as Kartikeswar Roul.
Simultaneous searches are being conducted by the Odisha Vigilance team led by five DSPs, 11 Inspectors, and other staff.
Based on a piece of reliable information, the vigilance sleuths have conducted raids at six places in Khordha and Ganjam districts on the strength of search warrants issued by the Hon’ble Court of Spl. Judge Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
1.Residential quarter located at irrigation colony, Bhanjanagar in Ganjam
2. Office at Bhanjanagar in Ganjam
3.Flat no. B-1, Tusti Apartment, meridean College lane, Khandagiri in Bhubaneswar
4.Flat no. A-073,Cosmpolis Residency in Bhubaneswar
5.Three storyed building over plot no. 1045/2978 at Jagamara, Khandagiri in Bhubaneswar
6.Parental house at Langaleswar, Kolikote in Ganjam.
Till the last reports came in, cash of Rs 2,50,880/- has been recovered from govt. residence at Bhanjanagar and Tusti residential Flat at Bhubaneswar during the searches so far. Further search is underway and details are awaited.
