Former Governor of Odisha MM Rajendran passes away at age of 88

Former Governor of Odisha, MM Rajendran passed away at the age of 88 years on Saturday at a private hospital in Chennai.

Bhubaneswar: Former Governor of Odisha, MM Rajendran passed away at the age of 88 years on Saturday. He took his last breath in a private hospital in Chennai.

The ex-Governor, MM Rajendran was a 1957 batch IAS topper and former Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu. He took charge as the Governor of Odisha in 1999.

Earlier in July, he had presented a copy of his autobiography to President Droupadi Murmu.

Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik has expressed deep condolence on the sad demise of late Rajendran. CM expressed that, “His long years of experience as a career bureaucrat had made him carve a niche for himself as an Administrator. He will be always remembered for his dedication and service to the people.”

The present Governor of Odisha Raghubar Das has condoled Rajendran’s death and has expressed his deep grief to the bereaved family.
