First ever World Odia Language conference to be held in Odisha in February 2024

Bhubaneswar: In a major decision, the Odisha Cabinet has decided to conduct the first ever World Odia Language conference in February 2024. The decision to this effect was taken during the State Heritage Cabinet meeting held in Bhubaneswar today.
While speaking to PTI about the decision, Sujata Karthikeyan, the Secretary Odia Language, Literature and Cultural Department, said that we shall have the first ever World Odia Language conference in Odisha in February 2024.
The first of its kind conference will involve people from all over the world who have worked on this language. The three-day long confernce will primarily focus on youth and the challenges that the Odia language might face in the future, she added.
