Fire breaks out at petrol pump in Puri

Pipli: A fire broke out at a fuel petrol pump near Rupudeipur Chhak at Satasankha of Puri district on Sunday morning. Due to fire, important documents and materials were reduced to ashes.

According to sources, the staff of the petrol pump noticed fire and saw smoke coming out of it. Immediately informed the fire personnel about the incident.

On being informed, the fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flame.

It is suspected that due to short-circuit might be the reason behind the fire. The exact reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
