Balangir: An explosion reportedly took place at the Central government’s Badmal ordnance factory in Odisha’s Balangir district this evening.
According to reports, the explosion reportedly took place at magazine unit no 12 of Badmal ordnance of the factory. However, the exact reason behind the explosion and amount of loss of property are yet to be ascertained.
It is assumed that none of the employee was killed nor anyone was injured following the explosion as no one was present in the factory in view of Sunday.
On being informed, an ambulance along with team of fire fighters and police rushed to the spot. Officials of the factory and some employees also reached the spot and are monitoring the situation.
