Cuttack: Election of member representative to BCI from state of Odisha is scheduled to be held on December 17, 2023 said reliable reports on Tuesday.
According to reports, the Bar Council of India (BCI) has written a letter to the Secretary of the Odisha State Bar Council that the Election of Member-Representative to Bar Council of India from the State of Odisha on December 17.12.2023 shall be held at the premises of the Odisha State Bar Council.
The Secretary, Odisha State Bar Council has been requested and directed to notify the date of
above said election schedule by today December 4 or latest by tomorrow December 5, 2023.
The Secretary, Odisha State Bar Council is requested and directed to ensure intimation of
the election schedule to all the newly elected Members of the Odisha State Bar Council by all means, which would include SMS, Email, WhatsApp, Phone Call and affixation of the election notice and election schedule on the notice board of the State Bar Council.
The Schedule of Election for the post of Member-Representative to Bar Council of
India from the State of Odisha on 17.12.2023 is as follows:
- Nomination for the post of Member Representative to the Bar Council of India- 9th and 10th December, 2023 from 10.00 AM to 03.00 PM
- Scrutiny of Nomination Papers- 10th December, 2023 From 03.00 PM to 04.00 PM
- Publication of list of candidates- 10th December, 2023 by/before 05.00 PM
- Withdrawal of nomination from the post of Member-Representative to the Bar Council of India- 11th December, 2023 from 11.00 AM to 03.00 PM
- Publication of final list of candidates 11th December, 2023 from 03.30 PM to 04.00 PM
Election of Member-Representative to the Bar Council of India- 17th December, 2023 from 11.00 AM to 12.30 PM - Counting of Votes and Declaration of results
- Soon thereafter the counting will be held and result will be declared
The Venue of the Odisha State Bar Council Hall Odisha State Bar Council, Near High Court of Odisha, Chandini Chowk, Cuttack.
The inquiry committee will visit the Odisha State Bar Council on 12th December, 2023 in
order to inquire into the complaints or allegations.
