Dense fog continues to blanket Odisha, Yellow alert issued to 10 districts

Bhubaneswar: While the intensity on winter has decreased in the state, several parts of Odisha continue to remain under a thick blanket of fog. The Regional Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning to parts of Odisha in view of the same.

10 districts of Odisha have been given a yellow warning in view of heavy fog today. Further, instructions for strict patrolling has been issued in accident prone areas.

The temperature is likely to go beyond 35 degree Celsius in February. Heat in Odisha will increase after next two days. The average daytime temperature is likely to increase by two to three degree Celsius. On the other hand, no significant change in nighttime temperature might be witnessed.

Meanwhile, some areas of Odisha are experiencing heat while other areas continue to experience fog. Forecasts from the Regional Meteorological Department suggest that coastal and central Odisha are likely to experience dry weather and increased heat in the forthcoming days. Further, Northern parts of Odisha might experience cloudy weather and slight rainfall.

Some parts of Odisha might experience moderate amount of rainfall during today and tomorrow. This is due to the influence of the prevailing high pressure system in the atmosphere.
