Cuttack: RPF seize huge amount of railway materials, 6 arrested
A special team of the Cuttack Railway Protection Force (RPF) busted a gang of thieves who used to loot the railway materials from different railway tracks and stations.
Cuttack: A special team of the Cuttack Railway Protection Force (RPF) busted a gang of thieves who used to loot the railway materials from different railway tracks and stations.
The RPF team arrested the looters from near Khetrapal village under Tangi police station limit of the district while conducting a night patrolling on Cuttack-Bairi railway line.
Apart from arresting and forwarding the six looters to the court, the RPF team also seized a four-wheeler pick-up, a bike, a gas cutter, three cylinders, a shawl, 14 pieces of railway sleepers and other items from their possessions.
The accused used to steal railway goods in different areas of Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj and Cuttack districts.
