Covid mock drill, Bhubaneswar Capital Hospital in preparedness: Dr. Sahoo

Bhubaneswar: The mock drill on the Covid situation in India will nbe conducted in various hospitals for two days that is April 10 and April 11, 2023. The Director of Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar Laxmidhar Sahoo, said that the hospital is in complete preparedness to manage the Covid cases. 

Sahoo further informed that, now a new variant of Covid is affecting people. Due to this, the number of Covid positive cases is increasing across the country. He said, the Central Government has issued a new advisory regarding the Covid management.

He further warned that, we have to be strict. The cases can reach the peak within a months time. We have been asked to do a mock drill on how prepared we are, the Doctor added.

Capital Hospital doctors, paramedics, head of department will be present in this drill. Capital Hospital is also ready, but there is no provision of beds in the Hospital for Covid patients. However, the Hospital is prepared to treat incoming Covid patients on emergency basis.

The Director informed that, testing is still underway like earlier times but the number of  people getting Covid tests has decreased considerably. It will be increased when necessary. Vaccination that had been stopped shall be resumed again, said the director of Capital Hospital Dr. Lakshmidhar Sahu.
