Cold wave in Odisha continues to have its impact as nighttime temperature continues to drop further in several places across the state.

Bhubaneswar: Cold wave in Odisha continues to have its impact as nighttime temperature continues to drop further in several places across the state. The nighttime temperature has dropped below 15 degree Celcius in most parts of the state.

Some areas have also recorded nighttime temperature below 12 degree Celsius. The cold wave in Odisha is likely to continue for four more days. The average daily temperature is likely to keep dropping till December 17. Forecasts from the Regional Meteorological department suggest that the nighttime temperature might drop below 10 degree Celsius in multiple areas.

These areas include Koraput, Phulbani, Keonjhar, Angul, and Sundargarh among other districts. In the last 24 hours, Keonjhar district recorded the lowest temperature in Odisha at 9.6 degree Celsius. Winter in Odisha will continue to intensify under the influence of dry winds from the North-West direction.

Light to moderate fog can be expected in some areas of Southern and interior Odisha.
