Cold wave in Kandhamal, Temperature continues to remain below 10 degree Celsius in Phulbani

Cold wave has gripped Kandhamal for over a week now, with Phulbani recording temperature below 10 degree Celsius for the last five days. 

Kandhamal: Several areas across the state remain gripped by severe cold under the influence of cold wave in Odisha. Cold wave has gripped Kandhamal for over a week now, with Phulbani recording temperature below 10 degree Celsius for the last five days.

Due to the cold wave in Kandhamal, daily life has been disrupted. Along with the bone-chilling cold, heavy fog is also being witnessed during the morning hours. Due to the severe cold, people remain hesitant to move out of their houses after sunset.

The Kashmir of Odisha, Daringbadi, recorded the daily average temperature at nine degree Celsius in the last 24 hours.

Further, G Udayagiri recorded the daily temperature at six degree Celsius on December 19. Interestingly, G Udayagiri is establishing itself as the new Kashmir of Odisha with record minimum temperature.
