Salepur: There has been a monkey attack in Salepur of Cuttack district in Odisha in which as many as six people have been injured.
Fear and terror has been seen in the village of Matnagar under the Mirzapur Panchayat under Salepur Block of Cuttack District, said reports. For the last two or three days, a monkey has been attacking the villagers.
Many people have allegedly been bitten and injured. Villagers avoid coming out of their houses in fear. Bharti Das, Himanshu Das, Dologobinda Behera were injured in the monkey attack. Dologobinda, who was seriously injured andwas shifted from Mahanga Hospital to Cuttack SCB Medical College and Hospital.
It was seen that the villagers were closing down doors in fear of the monkey. Everyone is forced to hold a stick in their hand wile moving out of their homes. In such a situation, the locals have requested the department officials to catch the monkey as soon as possible.
