Bike-borne assailants loot Rs 1.8 lakh cash, two-wheeler from businessman in Balasore

Balasore : Six bike-borne miscreants looted a two-wheeler and cash of Rs 1.8 lakh from a business man in Odisha’s Balasore district on Friday.

The victim has been identified as Bhikari Pradhan, a resident of Rupsa area in the district.

The incident occurred near Nindhipanda under the Sadar police limits here when Pradhan was travelling from Baripada in his two-wheeler.

The miscreants on two bikes approached Pradhan, attacked him with sharp weapons and took away his scooty, in which he had kept Rs 1.8 lakh in cash.

Soon after the incident, Pradhan lodged a complaint at the Sadar police station here in this connection.

An FIR has been filed at Sadar police station here in connection to the loot case and efforts are on to nab the criminals, police said.
