Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar- Cuttack metro likely to be extended till Netaji Bus Terminal, said sources adding that the Odisha government is revising the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Metro Rail project.

With the change of the Bhubaneswar- Cuttack metro plan, the plans for a new bridge scheduled to be constructed over Kathajodi river connecting Trishulia and Judicial Academy in Cuttack also have been changed.

A new multi-purpose six-lane bridge, equipped with rail tracks to support the metro rail expansion will be constructed over the Kathajodi river at a cost of Rs 700 crore. Under this bridge, buses and other vehicles will run. A detailed project report (DPR) is being prepared for the multi-purpose bridge.

The extended project from Bhubaneswar will reach the Netaji Bus Terminal via key locations such as Judicial Academy, Sishu Bhawan, Orissa High Court, and Purighat.
