Keonjhar: A bear cub was rescued from a forested area near Bhalugharasahi village under Kundala panchayat in Keonjhar district on Sunday.
Some locals from Bhalugharasahi had been to the forest in some work in the wee hours today when came across the cub, which was stuck under a stone. They immediately rescued the animal and called up Saharpada Forest Division for assistance.
Forest officials later admitted the baby bear into Damahuda Veterinary hospital for treatment post which it was released into the forest.
