Bhubaneswar: In a tragic road accident in Bomikhal of Bhubaneswar on late Wednesday night, one person has died and one is critical.
The incident took place on the Bomikhal overbridge late last night. One youth died on the spot while another was seriously injured after falling off the overbridge.
The deceased has been identified as Sabyasachi and was a resident of Kedar Gauri Vihar area in Bhubaneswar. The critically injured has been identified as Sameet Kumar Panda of Sundarpada area. He has been admitted to Capital Hospital for further treatment.
According to available information, two youths were riding a bullet motorcycle at high speed yesterday when they hit the divider of the Bomikhal over bridge and flew off the overbridge due to the severe impact.
The Lakshmi Sagar police station has recovered the body of the youth from the scene and sent it for post-mortem. Detailed reports awaited in this matter.
