8-yr-old falls in 60-ft-deep Siphon in Odisha, dies

In the case of the 8-yr-old boy who had fallen into the siphon in Odisha has been rescued but has not been able be survive the fall.

Angul: In a recent development, in the boy who had fallen into the siphon has been rescued but has not been able be survive the fall. The ODRAF personnel have managed to rescue the boy after  four long hours of toil but he has died, said reliable reports.

In a shocking incident, an 8-year-old had fallen into a 60-ft-deep siphon in Odisha’s Angul district said reports on Tuesday morning.

Reports say that, a eight-year-old boy had allegedly gone to the canal to see the high water level when he slipped and fell into a 60-ft-deep siphon in Athamallik block of Angul.

The boy is said to be a student of Athamallik Saraswati Sishu Mandir. He has been there, stuck in the siphon for the past one hour.

The rescue operations have started. The ODRAF team along with a JCB (earth mover) has reached the spot and is trying to rescue the boy.
