2 cyclists dead in Sundargarh of Odisha as car runs them over

In a tragic incident, two 2 cyclists died in Sundargarh district of Odisha on Wednesday morning as a car ran them over, said reports.

Sundargarh: In a tragic incident, two 2 cyclists died in Sundargarh district of Odisha on Wednesday morning as a car ran them over, said reports.

The fatal accident took place near Jharamunda village under Badgaon police station limits in Sundargarh, said reliable reports in this regard.

Further it is worth mentioning that both the deceased persons were residents of Jharamunda village. Following the accident, the locals have staged a protest and blocked the road. They are demanding compensation for the loss of life in the accident.

According to latest reports in this matter, the police has been able to trace and catch the car that caused the accident near Jagatgada area under the Sadar police station limits. The driver of the vehicle has been detained as is being questioned by the police.

The local administration and the police are at the spot and are trying to placate the locals to give up the protest and allow movement of vehicles on the road.
